What is the Intent of this Website?
To gather information on the history and family tree of the Souser family and share it with other Sousers.

This website is owned and run by Christopher R Souser, you may contact me via email or by clicking on my name and going to
my "About Me" page.

What is the Survey Project #1?
It is a 6 page survey accompanied by 3 pages of introductory information mailed out initially on 6/19/2000.

What is the Intention of the Survey?
The intention of the survey is to collect as much information about the Souser family,for current and future members of the family.

What does the survey consist of, and what is asked on the survey?
The first two pages ask for some basic personal information about yourself,your spouse,and any children you may have.
Most of the questions are to update addresses and to get a list of names and some basic history which I can begin to compile.
The third page is to gather any tidbits, history, or stories you can tell me about your family, or the history of the Souser family.
The forth page is contains a few specific questions about the Souser family history, and the remaining two pages are simply
a sprawling family tree which you can fill out for yourself and your spouse to the best of your ability.

How many surveys were sent out?
A total of 59 surveys in all were sent out to Souser's across the country, comprising of almost all the publiclly listed addresses for
Souser's in the United States. So being there were so few initially sent out, I encourage everyone to complete one, as everyone counts,
and it may come down to one survey making the connection between all of the branches of the Souser family. So even if you assume
someone else may have put the information, I still encourage you to put it down on yours.

What if I get more than one survey in the mail?
 I realize some households may get multiple copies of the survey as many addresses I had only contained
initials, or there was no way to determine which address listed for an individual was the most current.
I would encourage you to pass it onto another Souser that you may know to complete it if they did not recieve one themselves.

Will the information be shared or made public?
The intent for use of the information gained through the survey is to only compile the history and FamilyTree for the Souser family.
It will NEVER be sold to marketers, or used for anything other than family history use. If you have any particular privacy concerns, or
questions of any sort, please do email me. So no, it is not my intention to make the information "Public" at this time. Perhaps submitting
it to a family tree website in the future may be a possibility, but a survey of all respondents would be made to gain their opinion on that
if that should arise. I will share information with people directly related to the Souser line as part of a information "sharing" exchange. 

How much of the information will be posted on the website?
My intent for the Website is for a place to gather information, and posting information on a very limited scale. That means
not posting any private information, and only sticking to broad generalized family information and statistics. A family tree information prior to 1900 will most likely be posted, unless their children are still living.

I do plan in the future as time becomes available adding a message board to the website to further Souser family history discussions, and for conversations.

What if I want a copy of the information compiled for my own family?
The intent is perhaps when enough information has been gathered and compiled to make a small book and/or CD-ROM available to
fellow family members ONLY. This will most likely be at least mid to late 2002 at the earliest before this is ready though, as I am
enrolled in school, as well as work.

What if I want to send something to contribute to the research?
If you wish to send copies, originals, photos, or something else to me I am willing to pay for the cost of copying, postage, and most other things that will directly aide in the research. If the costs exceed $20 US dollars please give me a little notice or notification. (A couple of days is fine).
